Celeste describes herself as an old school leather butch who loves coming to Desire to share her knowledge in several different arenas. Laughter is an important part of her play and brings that to Desire as well as her sincere desire to help women a along their path of Leather.
In 1985 Celeste started C-Space “Where the “C†Stands for Consensual, holding weekly workshops in Seattle WA bringing in presenters from the US and Canada. It helped form the leather community of today.
She is the recipiant of the Doug Connell citizenship award, SML Community Service award, Seattle Men of Leather Honorary member and nominated 3 times by Pantheon of Leather for Woman of the year.
Celeste is a dedicated woman who truly gives back to her community she loves. Not only the Leather community but her whole community, as she is the one of the first people to organize what is known through out as one of the largest
fund raiser that happens on a continual basis—–Gay Bingo.
She has presented so many workshops it be impossible to list them all but here are a few. NLA conferences, Wicked Women, Powersurge, Desire, C-Space, QSM, Outerlimits, Queer Nation, Lesbian Mental Health Professionals, Lesbian Resource Center, Everett College Gay and Lesbian Conference, ALPS, Bisexuals men’s network, Colorado Outdoor leather Dykes, May Days and women over 40’s group.
She has also produced contests, fund raisers and leather conferences as well as being a judge or MC for many Leather events and leather contests.
Celeste also worked with Advocates for Battered and Abused Lesbians and Gays to create the first pamphlet discussing the differences between abuse and S/M.
She is thrilled to be returning to Desire this year as the one on one’s are so empowering for all who will take part as well as the whole weekend is like a fantasy come true.
