Jesse Duran, Southern California Leather Woman 2005, has been involved in Leather/BDSM/Kink for 17 years. She came out into Leather as a slave in Phoenix in 1991 and was an active member of APEX for 6 years. She resides in San Diego for the past 11 years, actively involved with Club X and several other community organizations for many years. She identifies as Leather Woman, Sir and Daddy, and received her leathers in an Old Guard Tradition with the help of many women (and a couple of men) in the national leather community from 2002-2005.
Jesse serves on the San Diego Leather Pride Committee since 2005, currently Co-Producer of the Ms San Diego Leather contest. As Southern California Leather Woman 2005, she spent a year traveling and helping to create a networking resource for Southern California. She is the San Diego Knight of Leather 2004, a liaison title between the Imperial Court de San Diego and the Leather community. She has been knighted for life Sir Jesse D by the Court.
She has presented on panels for APEX, Club X, and Human Sexuality classes at a community college. She started the Back to Basics workshop series in 2005, now in its 4th year, with the support of Latin Leather Club initially, now with Club X and several other community groups.
She presents workshops on diverse topics including bondage, mummification (dry and wet), fire play, massage, cupping and vacuum pumping, play piercing including use of beveled and acupuncture needles, staples and sutures, urethral play (catheters and sounds), and electricity. She is an avid fan of Medical play and has been actively involved in some aspect of medicine, Western since 1990, and Eastern since 1997. Jesse has been studying, presenting and creating classes and workshops on play topics for over 10 years.
